November 7, 2025 | 4pm-7:30pm | In-Person | 3 Credit Hours | This 3-hour training explores the supervision of play therapists through the lens of the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM), emphasizing how supervision can be a powerful space for deepening play therapy skills, processing the therapist’s personal responses, and nurturing professional identity. Participants will learn to assess supervisees’ developmental levels, tailor their supervisory interventions, and integrate person-of-the-therapist work alongside skill development. ***Training Objectives: Apply concepts of developmental supervision of counselors to Play Therapy supervision. Practice effective methods for promoting self-awareness and self-reflection in both themselves and their supervisees, leading to more meaningful supervision experience. Examine aspects of play therapy supervision which add complexity to the supervisory relationships and process and identify ways to respond effectively.
