DATE AND TIME TBD | In-Person Training | 3 CE Hours | This two-part experiential skills lab offers play therapists the opportunity to deepen their integration of art into clinical practice through hands-on exploration, reflective practice, and intentional focus on the person of the play therapist. Part one will revisit key principles and introduce guided art experiences to explore play therapist identity, relational stance, and use of self. ***Training Objectives: Reflect on personal experiences with art and creativity to increase awareness of the play therapist’s internal responses and relational stance. Identify qualities of an invitational, client-centered approach to using art in play therapy. Explore how the person of the play therapist—presence, pacing, and emotional availability—impacts the child’s experience of safety and expression through art.
